this painting was a total accident. i was getting shots of interesting clouds and when I got home, i spotted these gents off in the corner of one of my photos.

fortunately, there wasn't much detail so i didn't have to struggle to enjoy the painting.

this image has layers. two gentlemen; two personalities; and lots of incidental content to reinforce a sense of the world that is passing by.

figure drawing and painting have always been a passion of mine, but creating a composition with the figure that implies a narrative is exceedingly difficult, so i am very thankful this image fell into my lap.
